This should in no way be taken to indicate that the medical staff was unresponsive to my pain, but rather that I tend to have a real disconnect between my words and my expressions at very inconvenient times.
When the doctor told me my kidney stone was over 1cm in diameter and my renal function was depressed due to the resulting infection, my reaction was, and I quote, 'Hah! Weird.'
